Description
Chesterfield County Government is seeking an Automation Coordinator to lead Utilities' automation staff, direct work and assign projects; in conjunction with IST staff, maintain the Local Area Network (LAN), disaster recovery site, cybersecurity efforts, server maintenance and backups, application development and PC applications, purchase and deploy hardware and software. Provide oversight and management of the department's systems and technology projects including the Customer Information System (CIS), and various reporting, including SQL. Performs related work as required. Must maintain personal mobile technology as a condition of employment.

Successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration or a related field; five years of experience in the implementation and support of business information systems to include two years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Considerable knowledge of concepts of microcomputer technology and related software and the principles of office automation systems. Ability to analyze complex business problems for potential automation solutions; to manage complex automation projects; to document processes and procedures and develop user documentation; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to operate a personal computer and related software and other standard office equipment; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers; to supervise technical and non-technical staff.
