LCRR requires a service line material inventory of all water systems covering the public and private side of the line, but many utilities lack a comprehensive inventory of the service lines, including the material. This roundtable will focus on strategies organizations like the City of Salem, VA have employed to develop the inventory using available sources such as GIS data, distribution system record data, lateral cards, work orders, plumbing codes, and meter replacement programs, to name a few. With the initial inventory due in 2024, now is the time for utilities to begin the process of building the inventory, developing their LCRR compliance programs, and streamlining these efforts as part of a greater asset management initiative.
Join the IT Committee on Thursday, Aug 18, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. for a roundtable discussion on how utilities are tackling these LCRR challenges, and what lessons have been learned along the way. Be prepared to discuss your approach to addressing the LCRR inventory requirements. The roundtable will be facilitated by Rajan Ray, VP of Product Strategy with CDM Smith/Trinnex. Attendees are encouraged to bring their expertise to the conversation and elevate awareness of this topic.
