Come hear and learn from two experienced sp eakers about life cycle cost (LLC) analyses\, the benefit of these analys es to a utility\, and how to perform these analyses. The intent of this webinar is to provide the audience with a better idea of how to implement an LCC analysis at their utility or for their clients. Life cycle cost a nalysis is an approach that assesses the total cost of the equipment over its life cycle including initial capital costs\, maintenance costs\, and operating costs. The intent is to enable utilities to consider all prese nt and future costs\, as well as more abstract values when purchasing maj or equipment. However\, that is easier said than done. This webinar start s with a presentation of why a utility would like to perform an LCC analy sis and what they can expect to be included. The second presentation sho ws how to go about doing it and what resources may be needed. Participant s will walk away with a better idea of how to implement an LCC analysis at their utility or for their clients. Speakers Nina Andgren grew up in S weden and started her engineering career in 1999 after receiving her Mast er of Science in Civil Engineering in 1999\, at Lund Institute of Technol ogy (Sweden). She worked at the Public Works in Gothenburg for a few yea rs before relocating to Virginia. In 2006 she joined Upper Occoquan Serv ice Authority (UOSA) as their Maintenance Engineer. At UOSA she has been promoted several times and is now working as the Director of the Operati ons and Maintenance Division. Leita Bennett\, PE\, is a GHD Senior Water Leader with over 30 years of experience in planning\, design\, and manage ment of public utility assets. She has a BS in Civil Engineering and an M S in Engineering Operations and provides asset management support to clie nts to incorporate best management practices into every stage of their fi nancial work.
