You are cordially invited to join us for the next VA AWWA and VWEA WAVE Committee book club discussion. March's book is Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah.

Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood is Trevor Noah's 2016 autobiographical book about growing up in apartheid South Africa as the son of a Black Xhosa mother and a white Swiss father, an illegal relationship at the time. The book uses humor and personal anecdotes to explore themes of race, identity, poverty, and family, particularly his relationship with his resilient mother, while navigating a world where he was literally "born a crime".

When/Where: March 30, 12:30-1:30 pm on Zoom
Who: All are welcome to this event hosted by the joint WAVE Committee

Don't let your progress on the book stop you from joining the discussion! Typically, half of the attendees have read the book and the other half are curious and interested in starting the book. All are welcome to this event hosted by the joint WAVE Committee.

Looking to join a committee? Why not the WAVE Committee? We are dedicated water professionals who focus on making everyone feel welcome and valued.  Learn more about the committee...then Sign up!
