We’ll begin with a brief, informative overview of the Joint Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee’s mission and ongoing initiatives. Participants will then dive into a structured speed networking session—designed to spark meaningful connections and exchange fresh ideas with peers across the industry. The session continues with a hands-on water filtration team activity, highlighting the value of collaboration, innovation, and equitable access to clean water.
The workshop will conclude with a very special Thoughtful Tuesday event featuring a leadership panel and roundtable discussion including key voices from VA AWWA and VWEA. This conversation will explore the state of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in our associations, the influence of national policy and funding trends, and how both public utilities and private partners are continuing to prioritize equity in their communities and the broader water community.
