Join us for an enlightening event that focuses on strategies to bridge the gap, foster knowledge transfer, and ensure a seamless transition for the next generation of professionals. Let's dive into practical solutions to ensure that wisdom doesn't fade, but flourishes.
Workplaces across the industry are facing increased numbers of experienced employees retiring and leaving the workforce. This shift comes as the baby boomer generation is reaching retirement age and can be seen across America. These retiring employees have valuable experience and institutional knowledge, built over decades of employment, that organizations are seeking to retain and pass on to rising professionals. This knowledge transfer is of vital importance, but it cannot happen overnight – it requires careful consideration and planning.

Jen Cobb, Assistant Director (Operations) for Waterworks in Newport News, will share her experience addressing this challenge. Topics will include strategies for knowledge transfer between more experienced and newer employees, succession planning, and hiring practices to account for a changing workforce.
