The Water Lessons and Resources Collection

The Water Awareness and Outreach committee has compiled a collection of tools correlated to the Virginia Science Standards of Learning (SOLs) to teach students about the water industry, watersheds and the water cycle. As a benefit to VA AWWA and VWEA members, we have developed a Guide to the SOLs tailored to the water industry, along with our favorite lesson plans and printable materials to share with students.

Accessing the Collection
This repository is a membership benefit. To verify your VA AWWA or VWEA membership, please reach out to cynthia.barnes@vaawwa.org with your name, email and indicate which association holds your member record. Once you have received an email with access instructions, please return to this page to enjoy browsing the resources.

Contribute to the Collection
If you have a lesson to contribute, please reach out to the Water Awareness and Outreach Subcommittee.  We are especially looking for Stormwater lessons.
