Customer Service Week is an internationally recognized event, celebrated annually (October 6-10, 2025) to honor the importance of customer service and to recognize the dedicated individuals who serve and support customers daily. It's never too late, though, to celebrate our frontline heroes who ensure our communities receive essential services with care and professionalism.
The VA AWWA Customer Service Committee is passionate about fostering a culture of excellence in customer care across Virginia's utilities. We believe that by celebrating and sharing our successes, we can inspire each other, elevate industry standards, and further appreciate the critical role of customer service professionals.

Your Submissions Wanted: Showcase Your Leadership & Creativity!
The VA AWWA Customer Service Committee invites all Virginia Utilities to submit details of your 2025 Customer Service Week celebrations. This is your opportunity to gain recognition for your organization, inspire other utilities with your best practices, and contribute to a statewide celebration of customer service excellence.

What We're Looking For:
We are seeking submissions that include both pictures and write-ups that vividly capture and describe your leadership's commitment and your team's creative endeavors in celebrating Customer Service Week.
- Pictures: High-resolution photos (2-5 preferred) that showcase your celebrations – team events, recognition ceremonies, themed activities, staff appreciation gestures, training sessions, or any other innovative ways you honored your customer service team.
- Write-Ups: A brief narrative (200-500 words recommended) detailing:
- Your utility's name and the department(s) involved.
- Overall theme of your 2025 Customer Service Week celebration.
- Specific examples of how leadership supported and participated in the celebrations.
- Descriptions of creative activities, recognition programs, or unique initiatives implemented.
- The impact or positive feedback received from your team members.
- The contact person for your submission.

Submission Details:
- Customer Service Week 2025: Typically, the first full week of October (October 6-10, 2025).
- Submission Deadline: Please send your contributions by October 31, 2025. This allows us ample time to gather and prepare features after your celebrations have concluded.
