Job Description | The Virginia Department of Health (VDH), Office of Drinking Water (ODW), is seeking a new Project Engineer/Manager to join their Financial and Construction Assistance Programs (FCAP) team! The Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) provides federal and state funding with a mix of low interest loans for construction and non-construction assistance for waterworks to protect health by ensuring adequate and safe drinking water to citizens. The DWSRF Project Engineer/Manager serves as the technical, administrative, financial, and regulatory expert for the construction loan/grant program in the field, with program supervision and guidance from the FCAP Project Team Leader or Division Director. The Project Engineer/Manager will review and approve all technical documents pertaining to loan/grant project and provide the necessary technical assistance and guidance in their preparation. They will also perform on-site engineering inspections and evaluations assessing adequacy of construction, quality assurance, completeness of contract documentation, compliance with approved plans and specifications, and conformity with program/state/federal requirements. Minimum Qualifications | 1. Experience with grant management, program management, and project management principles. |
Preferred Qualifications | The preferred candidate will have significant work experience and training related to drinking water construction projects or professional engineering license. |
