EPA is offering the opportunity to support organizations in the development and execution of their own exercise using the AP-FSE Toolkit.

During the webinar, we will provide an overview of the Toolkit, as well as steps for conducting an exercise and how EPA plans to provide support to each participating organization.

Drinking water and wastewater utilities, public health and environmental laboratories, and state and local government agencies will be considered for our first cohort.

Space is limited.  Only 6-10 organizations will serve as exercise leads.

Benefits of conducting or participating in a Full-Scale Exercise:
  • Develop familiarity with EPA’s WLA tools and resources, specifically the WLA Response Plan (WLA-RP) and how to incorporate it into your emergency response plans.
  • Learn “best practices” for coordination of laboratory analysis during water contamination incidents.
  • Practice coordination between drinking water and wastewater utilities and analytical laboratories.
  • Build relationships with Response Partners prior to an incident.
Assist participating organizations in identifying areas for improvement.

Benefits of signing up for the AP-FSE Cohort:
  • EPA will walk your organization through developing and conducting an AP-FSE.
  • Lessons learned and "best practices" will be shared from previous exercises and incidents.
  • Supplies and materials will be provided to participating laboratories.
