HVAC Technician

We are seeking an HVAC Technician in the Plant Maintenance department who will perform maintenance and repairs to a variety of equipment including: refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, gas and electric heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, hot water heaters, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, package systems, split systems, flame safeguards, air compressors, air driers, vacuum systems.

 

Graduation from high school or GED with two years combination of education and training and two years experience working with refrigeration equipment at a Technician level providing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to commercial/industrial equipment. 

Training in the following specialized subject areas is required: heating and air conditioning theory, electric controls, AC/DC voltage, analog, and digital electronics, and the operation and maintenance of all aspects of the commercial/industrial HVAC trade. 

Ability to obtain a Virginia state HVAC Journeyman’s license or higher within 2 years.
