Chesterfield County Utilities Department is currently seeking a Utilities Operating Accountant to perform work of considerable difficulty in providing supporting responsibilities for year-end audits, fiscal year budgets, ten-year cash flow projections, operating budgets, revenue projections, and rate modeling by maintaining a complex system of accounts, records, and creating and maintaining work papers; completes the reconciliation of current assets, liabilities, expenses, revenues, and debt service to the general ledger, prepares requests to receive state or federal awards; assembles and analyzes data recognizing change and if there are any deficiencies recommends remedies; creates reports and formulates recommendations pertaining to the department’s financial stability. Perform other work as required.
