Stantec is seeking a Water Resources Professional Engineer to serve our government, industrial, and commercial clients from our Ashland, Virginia Office. The ideal candidate will have a combination of education and experience in water resources/environmental engineering including: water and wastewater systems engineering, project management of water/wastewater design/build projects (all phases), stormwater hydrology/hydraulics, and stormwater BMP design and management. Proficiency using AutoCAD/Civil 3D/ArcGIS to prepare site designs and construction plan sets is desired, as well as experience with hydrologic/hydraulic models. Experience with client/project management and on-call services contracts is a plus.
Basic Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Environmental Engineering/Water Resources Consulting
- Excellent writing skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and an ability to travel and stay overnight
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Experience in project and task management and budgeting
- Experience in design and construction oversight
