The US Marine Corps, Department of Navy, is looking for a Water Treatment Plant Operator to work in this Quantico, VA plant.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the operation of a Class II water treatment plant.
- You will monitor and control the water treatment process that includes; chemical addition, coagulation, flocculation, and sedimentation.
- You will monitor and control the water supply and finished water-pumping operations.
- You will perform a limited amount of preventative maintenance including calibrating, cleaning, and adjusting equipment.
- You will monitor and control the water treatment systems.
- You will maintain adequate potable water supplies for personal use on Marine Corps Base Quantico.
Must possess and maintain an appropriate Virginia State Water Treatment Plant Operator Class I or II Certification by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation.
