November Edition

“Gratitude can transform common days into Thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” -William Arthur Ward

VA AWWA would like to take this moment to say THANK YOU to all the Heroes that work in water and turn routine jobs into joy and blessings for their customers every day. You are critical to the health and well-being of so many, and you deserve much gratitude and respect.  Thank you for your service and dedication!

How Do You Celebrate?
Call for Volunteers – Thoughtful Tuesday Holiday Celebration
The VA AWWA Section DEI Committee would like to invite you to participate in our December Thoughtful Tuesday event! As we approach the holiday season, we would like to hear about different holidays and festivities celebrated by our member community, and we want to feature YOU in our Thoughtful Tuesday event! We know that not all holidays are celebrated this season, and we want to hear about those as well!

If you celebrate among your loved ones any of the following holidays or festivities (or another one we may have missed in this list) and want to share with our VA AWWA Section the history, the meaning, cultural aspects, and how you prepare for your festivities, please reach out to Giovana Batista (giovana.batista@arcadis.com) or Becky Mitchell (becky@whro.net) with the Thoughtful Tuesday workstream! We will be putting together a session on December 13th at 1pm EST to showcase the diversity of holiday celebrations within our member community as we close out the first year of our DEI Committee.
