Thoughtful Tuesday - Choosing Vulnerability - Engineering Trust, Credibility, and Connection
Disability Inclusion IconWe all show up to work with varying degrees of innate vulnerability based on how the world perceives us, which often equates to varying degrees of cultural privilege. There are also ways we can choose vulnerability to cultivate trust and belonging. Often mistaken for weakness or fragility, vulnerability in our work is foundational to authentic leadership and meaningful connection. It’s the ability to share who we really are, connecting our “real” and work lives in a singular package. While unmasking can be hard in all parts of our lives, it’s particularly onerous in our professional lives. Join us as we uncover the ways in which vulnerability brings value and strength to our work relationships and our workplaces.

This Thoughtful Tuesday event features the topic “Choosing Vulnerability - Engineering Trust, Credibility, and Connection.” Join us on Tuesday, October 10th, at 1 pm ET for a thought-provoking session that will get everyone talking, thinking, and learning about a topic that affects ALL of us.

Water for People NOVA Hike and Sip
Join us for a fun Hike and Sip event in Northern Virginia! The hike begins at the train head at 11 am.  After the walk, everyone is invited to gather at Paradise Springs Winery (13219 Yates Ford Road, Clifton, VA) for some networking fun!  Not only will you have a fun time with like-minded individuals, but you'll also have the chance to support a worthy cause. Appetizers will be provided with beverages "on your own."

The event is free, but donations are suggested.  For every $5 donation, you will receive one (1) raffle ticket.  For example, donate $20 and receive four raffle tickets!

Your support can make a real impact in ensuring that everyone has access to clean water forever.  Let's take this journey together, step by step, and create a brighter future for communities in need. 🌍💙

Sponsors are welcome!  All sponsors will be promoted at the event.  It's a great way to show your company's commitment to safe, sustainable water and sanitation for ALL!

New VA WARN Website/Database
The Virginia Water and Wastewater Area Response Network (VA WARN) is getting an upgrade!  The previous website and database were no longer supported by the hosting company, so both the database and website have undergone a transformation.  If you are already a VAWARN member, be on the lookout for emails to set up your new username and password.  If you are not already a member, check out all the benefits of joining the VA WARN network.  The best reason is it's FREE!
