Can you Imagine a Day Without Water?  We all work extremely hard to provide and protect clean water for Virginia, but this resource is often taken for granted!

The Water Awareness and Outreach Committee has prepared a series of graphics that can be shared with your partners to remind them of the important work we do every day.

Feel free to share these 5 designs by email, on social media, with your staff, and on your websites.

Thank You for all you do to make sure Virginian’s never have to imagine a day without water.

Your voice matters!  Take the State of One Water Survey!

We are looking for diverse voices from the watershed – including utilities, industry, regulators, and any other stakeholders invested in sustainable water initiatives.

PLEASE participate in the US Water Alliance’s The State of the One Water Survey.  It should take 10 minutes – and will really help us assess the current status of the One Water field, identify barriers, and anticipate needs to propel the One Water movement forward.

The inaugural State of One Water Survey was officially launched at the 2022 One Water Summit, and responses are already pouring in. Don’t miss this opportunity to share your voice and perspective on the current status of the One Water field, helping to identify barriers and anticipate needs to propel the One Water movement forward.

But don’t wait—the Survey closes on November 2 at 11:59 pm ET

EPA Webinar - National Primary Drinking Water Regulation for PFAS

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is hosting a public webinar to prepare communities for how to get involved and provide EPA with their input on the upcoming proposed National Primary Drinking Water Regulation for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) under the Safe Drinking Water Act. The public webinar will be held on November 2, 2022 (2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Eastern Time).
In the webinar, you will hear about:
  • What are PFAS and how do they impact drinking water
  • How EPA develops a drinking water regulation
  • EPA’s timeline and activities associated with the proposed PFAS drinking water regulation
  • What happens after the regulation is proposed and how can communities provide their input to EPA
  • Where to go for more information
The webinar will also provide an opportunity to submit questions. During the webinar, EPA will not be discussing the specific requirements of the proposed PFAS drinking water regulation. That information will be available once the proposed rule is issued.  To register, click Read More...
