Courageous Conversations: How to Talk about Belonging and Inclusion at Work
Date: Monday, September 9 Time: 8:30 am - Noon Cost: $70
Have you ever wanted to ask someone a question but were afraid you’d offend or upset them? Do you want to know why the difference between equity and equality even matters? Do you hear people talking about “inclusive workplace” and wonder what it all means? Not sure how to answer your employee’s question about what they should and shouldn’t say related to diversity and inclusion?
Join us at the Courageous Conversations workshop for a one-stop learning session focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) that will help you with all these and more! This workshop features two unique segments; a DEI Q&A panel discussion and a Creating an Inclusive Workplace session.
This 2-part workshop is a great way to open the discussion about DEI in your workplace and can show you how to begin DEI work without tons of money, energy, or resources. Building an inclusive workplace starts with you.
(NOTE: Additional registration is required for this event. It is not included in your Full Conference ticket. To register, click here!)

Neurodiversity is a term that acknowledges neurological differences that should be recognized and respected, just as any other human variation (e.g., ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, age). Therefore, the term neurodivergent describes a person whose brain differences affect how their brain works. Using this terminology, we understand that neurological conditions are a part of what makes a person who they are, and taking away that condition is taking away their individuality, suggesting that these conditions do not need to be cured but rather celebrated.
Based on the guidebook “Neurodiversity in the Workplace” created by Arcadis, this session focused on managers, co-workers, and all who identify as neurodivergent. Watch this event to learn about different types of neurodiversity, best practices for collaboration, considerations for improved performance and practical tips to create an inclusive workplace.
