The VWEA/VA AWWA Young Professionals committee invites you to apply to for a scholarship to support your attendance at the Annual WEF/AWWA Young Professional Summit. This year's event is scheduled for February 11-14, 2024, in Portland, OR. The Summit will focus on the future of our water. The sessions will explore current industry trends and how young professionals can take ownership in the direction we want the water sector to move, reflecting on what we want to accomplish, the innovation that will lead us there, and what levers exist to create change.
Applications will be accepted through TODAY - December 1, 2023. Two individuals will be selected to receive a scholarship to support travel and attendance at the summit.
Join the VWEA | VA AWWA Young Professionals Committee for a tour of the HRSD's Nansemond Treatment Plant. The 2-hour tour will showcase current treatment processes and future development of the wastewater treatment process.
Cost: $10 - includes lunch at the conclusion of the tour
Applications are now open through December 19th, 2023, for 27 scholarship awards (totaling $211,000) available to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in the water sector through the AWWA Scholarships Program.
New additions to the Program include the Mueller Water Products HBCU Scholarship and the Dr. James K. Edzwald Scholarship. AWWA membership is not required to apply, but is free if you sign up through the Virginia Section. Check out the details here... https://vaawwa.org/page/student-activities
