It is designed to prepare participants to test, inspect, and provide in-line maintenance of reduced pressure zone and other backflow prevention devices. The conference is designed to provide the latest information on major issues such as method updates, laboratory accreditation, and new technologies. Attendance is recommended for any environmental professional involved in the analysis of water or wastewater, especially laboratory analysts, laboratory managers, instrumentation and equipment manufacturers, plant operators, regulatory personnel, environmental engineers and environmental compliance managers.

The VA AWWA Distribution Systems Committee announces the 36th Annual Water Distribution Seminar and Utility Rodeo to be held on October 5-7 in Newport News, VA. This traditional "hands-on" seminar is designed to provide distribution system personnel with practical information on relevant subjects. The ever-popular Utility Rodeo provides various utility-related competitive events in which participants compete against fellow utility personnel in demos of skill, speed, and safety.
